Ballroom Dancing Kilted?
Are any of you hip cats into ballroom dancing? Waltz, foxtrot, swing, that kind of thing.
My wife and I are joining the Bozeman formal dance club, and I intend to attend kilted. Got my PC jacket, got my dancin' shoes, working on shirt and tie, and slowly expanding my kilt collection so I can provide my fellow dancers with a variety of outfits for their viewing pleasure.
So far I have only one that's appropriate for formal events - a beautiful grey/black tartan 5-yard casual that looks s-m-a-s-h-i-n-g with the PC. I have a USAK casual on order and I think it will work very well, too. Hopefully I can get a really nice wool kilt early next year (drooling about an Isle of Skye traditional...but the accountant writhes in agony at the mere mention). Need a more formal sporran, but to me the kilts are higher priority, so I might modify one of the black day-wear sporrans I already have.
So do any of you dance?
