Socks' general rule (okay, my rule): skinny calves get white socks, or light, to beef them up to match the upper body bulk kilted; big calves, whatever the polite word is, black or dark sock to thin them down relative to the kilted upper body bulk.

If light coloured socks, try and match the shirt to the sock. That's not an appropriate rule for dark socks and more formal occasions so have the tie match the socks. Flashes match some flower or brooch (Bradley earpiece) to tie it all together.

You sound well prepared. Frankly, I can't envision owning that many kilts but, hey, more power to you. I'm looking at a R-Kilt leather, a R-Kilt hemp, B&S McGregor (film) and that's it to bring my total to four (I'm not counting my original McGregor, now too small, or my Sportkilt, house and backyard kilt).

Have fun, take pics, gloat.
