A long time ago I compimented a women I did not know on how nice I thought she looked. I said something to the effect of " In case no one was told you yet today, you look wonderful in that great outfit" She ignored me for a minute then turned back to me and said "no, no one has told me yet. Thank you very much you made my morning" Anyway it put a smile on her face and it made me feel good too.
