A 1.5" tie would look pretty odd...

He was referring to the width. Now i'd love to see someone with a 1.5' tie. of course it would have to be some one really thin to pull it off.

Good Idea, I've been trying to figure out what to do with all my cut out pleats from my xmarks kilt. Maybe Christmas tags, cards, ornaments. Any ideas?

You could attach them to cufflink backings and add a washer and then you would have tartan cufflinks!
