Man, you learn something new every day here. I just googled some steampunk images. I'm not sure I could live with that every day, but I think it's very cool.
There's a hum in the restrooms at my office emanating from the inner workings of the building. If I close my eyes for a minute when I'm in there, I can imagine that it is the background sound of the Enterprise, and that's good enough for me (and free) and then I can go back to reality.
