Catholic Tartan

haven't seen a Catholic tartan, but there is a CLERGY tartan.

You could also KIND OF consider Royal Stewart tartan as "Catholic" in the fact that the Stewarts were the Catholic Monarchs of Scotland.

It would have to be "kind of" given the later protestant Stewart monarchs.

Where could such an initiative for a specific tartan start? Interested Catholic kilties petitioning the Pope? Or would it start by being raised with the Scottish Bishops and Cardinal?

Or the Knights of St. Columba, the Scottish version of the Knights of Columbus.

James II and his ilk were, but his grandfather, father and brother were Anglicans.
