My 8 year old will wear his kilt with me in public but my 12 year old is a bit hesitant. I usually have to throw some kind of bribe in there. Do you have to bribe your son? Has he shown an interest in going out in public yet? You both look great and the ACU Kilts are awesome.

Best thing is to find highland games etc. to take them to so they get lots of positive feedback. That should help a lot.
Thanks for all the positive comments. However, I think I've created a monster. Ever since he got his new kilt, I can't seem to get my son out of it. He even wore it to Wal-Mart yesterday. Nobody said anything that I noticed, but he was perfectly happy. Every time I turn around, he has it on. He wears his more than I wear mine. Makes a father proud.

Not an unusual reaction. My 8 year old is the same.
