there are alot of different types of paintball play. Speedball versus woodsball. Senarios play is pretty awesome. There are such thing as paint grenades and mines.
To me it sounds more like airsoft might be more up your ally though. More realism than paintball.
Where are you located anyway?

Although PB probably has more in common with the game of tag than war the rules did seem a little too strict. Try at another venue before you decide his is defiantly not your bag For realism check out the stuff from RAP4.

Cloves I would recommend not buying all the add-ons as it does add weight which you will feel after the whole day. Do look to upgrade your barrel and consider a folding stock. I had some very bad luck getting stuff shipped from the US. Canadian Border Protection Services sat on my one A-5 for over a month (without informing anyone) before deciding that it's not a weapon! UPS refused to ship marker parts across the border. All the same stuff is availiable in Canada the higher price does outweigh the agro. i've ordered from tacticalpaintball.ca before with no problems. Also check out buypbl-paintball.com. I got my AK-47 conversion from here comes with a fairly decent barrel and just looks I had to imagine trying to get that across the border .

I'm nomadic, but for the most part I'm usually in wisconsin.

I know of airsoft, and my cousin is into it so I have seen some of the equipment, but I am skeptical. I know it's more realistic, but I think that would just raise my expectations even more. Plus I couldn't get the weapons I really want (I checked, they don't make them). It's my own fault really, for keeping up with (and drooling over) the newest, coolest ones out there.

But as with paintball, I'd be happy to try it if the opportunity came along. I'm just not going out of my way to find it.
