    Paintball Kilted Pt. 1

Myself and some friends are aficionados of pump and stock class paintball. It's an outdated style of play that relys more on skill and accuracy of the player than extreme rate of fire.

So it seemed appropriate that we should play kilted. Recently, 130 of us met from around the US and Canada to play, four of us in kilts.

Me in Grey Stewart Sportkilt (last year)

The paint is water based and does wash out. However, that's part of the reason we don't wear really nice kilts to play in either.

And the bare chested guy is me.

Excellent pics! It's great to see "action" photos like that.

As for playing paintball shirtless...OUCH!! Reminds me of the time I followed a small group of Hell's Angels across Saskatchewan one summer. One of the guys was riding shirtless on a bike with no windshield, and there was a bad infestation of grasshoppers at the time. So bad I had to stop every 50 miles or so to scrape them off the front of my truck and the windshield so I could see! I can only imagine what his chest looked like.

The paint does wash out. However, back when I did paintball, although it washed out, the spots where the paint hit did seem to fade out quickly. You definitely want to use an inexpensive, easily replaced kilt.

Man! That had to hurt going shirtless. Great pics and don't forget the ice packs.
