    Don't be afraid to pick up one with lots of bug holes and exterior dry rot. They have about an inch of sapwood around an extremely hard core. A 5 inch branch will yield about 4 scales 2 to 3 inches wide.

    I have them made to my specifications and have been through about 3 different manufactureres/countries so far. I may make them available to others in the near future, so I can order larger numbers and reduce my costs.
