You want the Irish side to come out...so why are you going to Riverdance?  Haha, but I kid.
Seriously though, I recommend dressy (semi-formal). It's not a black-tie event. It's theatre. You should look nice, but you don't want to look like you're going to the Viennese Opera or a wedding.

I love the music but a couple dozen strong legged lassies is a nice sight
