    4 weeks??? You might want to contact our member, Andrew Breecher (the kilted hiker), about what it's like to do a lengthy hike like that. He has hiked nearly 10.000 km while kilted, I believe.

    Do you think that is too far or too short in that timespan?

    It's something like 800 km. Most people does 30 km or more a day on that path - mostly it's quite easy going. Of course apart from the crossin of the Pyrenees.

    Last september we averaged a little over 20 km a day on a 10 day hike in the very hilly landscape of the "Massif centrale" in France.

    But I'll be sure to take your advice and contact Andrew.

    Well, I'm purely a day hiker, so four weeks of hiking sounds like a VERY long time to me.
