    Actually, the "Canadian boot" I wear is the same style moc in pic # 1,That I added my own elk hide to. ( saved a few $$$$ - Being Scots & all that )


    BTW, both mocs are over 5 years old, & even though I weatr them in some rough country & wet weather, as well as on the street, they are like new. ( hint user "WHITES Boot Preservative ) NO silicone)

    That's a nice track record. I was wondering how they held up in the long run. And being I'm a wee bit north of you Puffer, I know all to well what kind of terrain & weather your talking about!

    Several members of my Muzzle loading club have them. We ALL use Whites ( made in Spokane) If you want to know how to best "preseve them , PM me.

    BTW, Arrow also resoles them @ a resonable $$

    I have a couple of cans of Huberd's Show Grease that has pine tar and beeswax as ingredients to preservative. I use this stuff on a pair of my 2-piece period boots. I also have some saddle soap, but I don't know if I should use this stuff to clean the leather. What do you do before that to clean your mocs, Puffer?
