A large group of us are going to meet after the opening ceremony on the 23rd at noon wherever the bar is on site. If anyone is going to be there on the 23rd stop on by the bar after the initial 60 bagpipers play the opening songs.

Gonna try and make it down. Seems to me there was a LOT of booze flowing at the Mesa location...?...at least in the big tents...or maybe I'm mixing it up with Flagstaff.

Anyhow...figure the gas down and back will only be about $90....

Alcoholic beverages weren't allowed at MCC, Ron, you were obviously thinking of Flagstaff.

Basically, they've reserved 3 multi-story parking garages at the SW corner of Thomas & Central were you can park for free & then catch a shuttle down to the Games. That's what I'm planning on doing.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND catching the Opening Ceremony at Noon on Saturday, the 23rd. Between the massed bands (60+ bagpipes playing at once - glorious!), the March of the Clans (which you can participate in) & the invocation by the honorary chief, it's pageantry & sound you won't want to miss!
