Yet Another Power of the Kilt Anecdote
After I had come through arrivals at Newcastle Airport on Saturday I was approached by a lady clutching a half full bottle of Famous Grouse Whisky. She said she had noticed my kilt and wanted to give me the whisky which she had intended to take back home with her to Wales, but had been told she could not take it on the flight to Cardiff as it had been opened. She said she would much prefer it to go to a kilted Scotsman rather than surrender it to airport security staff. She refused any payment and insisted I take the whisky. Well as some of you know I stopped drinking alcohol over three years ago because I was becoming too fond of it for my own good, so I passed it on to my next door neighbour Mackie who is a piper and who will be able to enjoy it.

I can see Robertson hanging around airports now hoping to add to his collection!
Seriously though what an interesting an unusual reaction to seeing a kilt!

I don't know about that... I'd take the pepsi challenge on that one. That would be fun, I would think.

It's far from free, but speaking of Scotch, check out THIS STORY from the St. Paul, MN paper this weekend.
"...when People are universally ignorant, and debauchd in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders."
Samuel Adams
