Weno. I'll keep an ear on this thread,  thanks. And ya, Hamish said you should never button the jacket if wearing a vest, so I might just not worry about it. 
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

OK - I went and tried them on, and the bottom of the vest is covered on my conversions.
