Ok, Cloves. Your pics helped me think that the black one isn't bad. The red is hideous! I looked at it again today at the local Hot Topic. Thank you.

I saw a guy wearing one at the Jeffrey Banks Tartan event here in NY. He made it look pretty damn good. I've noticed that their camo version is a bit heavier material.

I disagree. Your wonderful Wallace kilt shames his Tripp kilt. Look how well-coordinated and proper you look, and then look at how sloppy he looks. The colors clash and the kilt is full of wrinkles.

Not being a piper or traditionalist, I think he wore it well.

They are defiantly not for me, and I'll leave it at that.

I went to the Mall of New Hampshire the other night, I normally avoid that place like the plague, but we had Bertuccis gift certificate. Whaddayknow! there was a Hot Topic store. I'd never heard of the place except here so I had to go in. Boy did I feel out of place! I have no idea what that particular style is but I do know that I was way too uncool to be in there (and that's not a bad thing)
Anyway there was the kilt in question, and I do mean question It certainly is not for me but it was a kilt and it was for sale in a mall which offers some small degree of mainstream legitimacy in it's own weird way, and that's a good thing.

for $24 that would almost be worth it. if it were the black one, maybe, but the red one, not so much.

Please note that that red one is only available in size XS.
I haven't been that lean for ten years.
