My advise would be to do your homework before ordering your first kilt so that you are well aware of what you are asking for, and what you expect to receive. Ask any kilt question here, and you can be assured of getting lots of good advice.

Stillwater Semi Traditional is a great starter kilt. Avatar is me in an SWK Irish National tartan, Jerry's service is fast. it is one of the kilts I wear to Church each Sunday. The next step up is a semi-traditional from Rocky (USA Kilts). I have one in the American Heritage Tartan and love it. My MacNeil of Barra hand sewn Scottish wool tartan kilt had to be passed on to a nephew, I expanded horizontally. I am saving up to replace it.
