but I really wonder what could make a person hate an article of clothing.

On the subject of spandex, I have always claimed that spandex is a privilege not a right. As a cyclist and a former bike shop employee I have seen more "sausage casing" than I care to remember.

On the subject of spandex kilts or at least tartan spandex I have been meaning to start a thread about.......

Team Slipstream Chipolte, the Argyle Army http://www.slipstreamsports.com/

This year as you can see if the image insert worked, they are using a blue and orange "tartan" [What tartan is that ] last year the colors were much more muted [the "ancient or hunting version of the tartan? ].

The team did very well at the recent Tour of California and is hoping to be invited to "the" Tour this summer.

I seem to recall the manager being asked once "why Argyle" and he replied on the order of "just because"

And yes those guys have earned the right to both the spandex and the tartan [most pro's pedal between 15 and 20000 miles a year]

In a way. It might also be a phobia, like homophobia, etc.
