I think I'll try my hand in making a Cornish pastie, tomorrow!

I wore a white top and my black kilt, with black hose and shoes and a black serape and beret when I went out - as it was rather chilly.

The locals are quite used to my McAbre garments, though they tend to be shocked when I switch to mostly white with something colourful for the summer.

I have done this every year for almost three decades, and they still find it shocking - perhaps they think that women past the first flush of youth should not wear white or bright coloured garments.

Maybe they just aren't used to seeing some one dressed as they do all the way over in Cronwall.
