Okay, McMath - we shall plan for a Fort Worth venture in the near future! If you want to scout out a possible Kilt Invasion local, that would be appreciated...

I'm not familiar with that event. Is there a link?
Where in the Ft. Worth area are you, if you don't mind me asking? Christopher and I are in Roanoke, which is north of Ft. Worth in southern Denton county. I'll try to keep a look out for anything that could make a fun kilt night/day on our side of the metroplex, as well (especially on a weekend).
Wish you could make the scotch tasting, but I do understand -- that's quite a drive on a week night. We probably can't do many week night Dallas outings like that, either.

This will be the 6th Rampant Lion BBQ and Picnic to date. It's always the last Saturday of April from 10am-10pm at Fielder Park (1100 S. Fielder Rd.) in Arlington. It's co-organized by the TSF&HG E-group and the Clan Gunn Society. It's pretty much a pot luck affair - bring meat, a side dish and your beverage of choice and you're in! You can read more about it on the TSF&HG forum.

I usually get a notice on that event....but haven't.
I would suspect a lot of the people that go to the picnic would be interested in XMarks, but as Clan Gunn headmaster, Royce, lives in the Fort Worth area, he doesn't promote Dallas events to his connections. ( I have asked), and I don't have his database to invite other Scots.
So, McMath, you are charged with the mission of spreading the word of XMarks in their midst. The more, the merrier!

I'm going to do my best to be there on Thursday (Thursday, yes?) for the "special" X-marks gathering.

I don't think a formal flyer for the BBQ has come out yet. In any event, the TSF&HG e-group is not a Clan Gunn site, although sometimes you wouldn't know it. They are an energetic group. I for one, am not a member of Clan Gunn, although I know and like many folks in the group, including Royce. Anyone can place whatever they want on the TSF&HG forum. I've seen Tipperary Inn notices on there before.
Right now, there's a notice about the RoughRiders baseball team celebrating their 2nd annual Tartan Night on 4/11 in Frisco (Friday!). Pregame festivities are at Lochrann's Pub. That sounds like fun!
I agree that several others over on the other site would like XMarks. I'll spread the word!

If it's Wednesday, I'm afraid I can't make it. Wife is out of twon n a business trip and I have to take care of the wee 'uns. Ah, well, another time!
"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

Hi Cynthia,
Becky and I live just down Denton Hwy from you in far north Fort Worth, right on the Keller border.
I wish we could make the scotch tasting too. I have a built in designated driver as Becky doesn't like the stuff. More for me!

If you hear from Tim, Rowdy, please help me figure this thing out. I can't do Wednesday this week, but could probably make the Thursday deal for the X-Markers (if that is still on).
