The Trials of Wearing a Kilt in Wintry Glasgow
Who says kilt wearing is a relaxing pastime. Last night I was on duty with the Tartan Army at Hampden Park Glasgow for the Scotland v Croatia friendly soccer match. I think of all the countries in the world, Scotland at times can be the most magnificent but at other times like last night, the most miserable, cold, damp, windy and dreich country in the world.
But of course along with another 30,000 poor sodden souls, I performed my duty as expected with the cosolation of retiring after the match to a nice warm hostelry for a welcome cup of tea!

That must have been fun. I love seeing pictures of the stands when the Tartan Army is in full force!
It was a 1-1 draw, seven players from Scotland were out due to injury.

Miserable, cold, damp and windy? I thought that's what kilts were invented for!
I'm disappointed neither the Scotland nor the England game were on here. Still, it wasn't not the worst of starts for George Burley, was it?
