I've had my trousers hit a bathroom floor that I didn't realize was wet, but nothing has happened in the kilt yet.

Oh, dear. That stinks. No pun intended.
At least it was at the end of the day?
I refer to my story in a previous thread about the same thing happening to a famous drummer while wearing a long plaid back in the day when bands competed in No. 1 dress. So, you're not alone!

I'm laughing with you. I've always worried about such a thing...AND, it is REALLY difficult in a great kilt cause of all the extra fabric to take care of!! Sitting can be worrisome....HOWEVER, (not to give TMI!!), standing to relieve oneself in a kilt is the ticket (glad I'm a man!), cause in reenacting, out in the field and being 54, it can be expected at any time...a wee lift of the kilt and one can be finished. A VERY funny story about that..but not sure where I should post it.....Moderator? A story about one of my Sjts. who had to relieve right before a battle reenactment and how we handled it...(only in a kilt could it have been accomplished!!)..Malcolm

Ron - you of all people should know the resources that are available on this forum. You might want to go to http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/u...x.html?t=28856 for a refresher on how to use the toilet kilted.
Best,
Brian

Thank God for Teflon.
I think I'll leave that one out of the "product attributes" on the site though...
Ron... I am laughing with you AND at you.

So far I've been lucky. And, it's not easy to prepare oneself in a port-a-can at a Highland games/festival.
