Welcome Richard, from the south coast of England. I began kilt wearing at 14 and am now 72 - wish I could go back and start over again, knowing what I do!!
WWII? Hmmmn. Being in the south of England, close to Portsmouth, as a child I lived through the horror of that war and I have my memories - I would not want to re-live them in any way. Please do all you can to ensure that the world does not put itself through anything like that again.
But back to kilting................
Take care,
Ham.
