Food, Glorious Food!
Yesterday, the Lady Shannon and I attended the EAT! Vancouver festival. It was held in our domed stadium downtown.
This is a huge event featuring any and all things food. Manufacturers offering samples of their wares, restaurants giving samples, cookware, cutlery and many areas and countries promoting food/travel adventure.
Samples were had for a minimal sum and were VERY good.
The wine, beer and spirits section was particularily interesting where we sampled some new products that are not on the market yet.
Now, on to the pics.
The outfit for the day.
Lady Shannon enjoyed the shopping, especially the handmade chocolates!!
Bob Blumer, of "The Surreal Gourmet" and "Glutton For Punishment" on the Food Network was on hand sharing his methods for cooking pizza on a grill. As part of his demo, he had Shannon call Domino's and order a pizza delivered to the stadium. His challenge was to complete a better tasting pizza faster than Domino's could deliver. Needless to say, he succeeded. We then purchased his cookbook and got a photo.
Here's one of yours truly in his "happy place".
I can't say emphatically enough just how wonderful this father/daughter experience was.
To all the XMarkers in the south, enjoy the long weekend and stay safe.

Very nice Saffron there, and I'm really jealous now. If only they had a big food fest like that in my neck of the woods.

Super pics, that saffron kilt looks real cool.

Send $2.95 to PO Box 251, Secaucas, NY. When your x-ray specs arrive, place them on your face and stare at the belt buckle in the above photo.
