As a fellow paintballer, I can totally get behind this project!!! Groin hits happen, but a sporran like that would be perfect to take it instead. The only question that I have is this... When you are running from bunker to bunker, how would keep the sporran from flapping around? I have never relly found a good solution to this problem...

Thanks. I've been playing since 86 snd have had more than my fair share of groin shots...in Kilt or pants. They aren't fun to say the least...lol.
To answer your "running from bunker to bunker" question, I think I'm going to run a strip of 1" wide velcro across the bottom of the sporran and the mate of it on the apron of the AmeriKilt. That should hold the sporran in place while I run (I hope...lol).
