    Whats the issue

The Dictionary (OED) says a kilt is a skirt usually worn by scottish highlander! So is it a kilt or skirt? yes it is! Is wearing a skirt so bad? NO

You could always alter it, so that the apron opens the right way?

I could, but that still doesn't resolve the fact that the pleats are way to shallow, and there is not enough material (it's only 2.5 yards) to make it into a proper kilt.

I do appreciate the info and advice guys. I have yet to hear back from the seller, so I'll put this Kilted Skirt in the for sale section here before I toss it up on ebay.

    I's a woman's garment, I'm afraid.

...oh, have you already mentioned the weight of the fabric? If so, I've missed it. I suspect 10 ounce?

All is good in the world. I just heard back from the seller, and he's going to give me a refund.

It looks like a kilted skirt. Top apron goes to the left side, pleats are shallow and not pleated to the set as a man's kilt would be.

Great news! It's nice to know that there are still some who are not afraid to admit their mistakes and make ammends.
