No I wouldn't, going on some mil sites regularly you see the lot, but most have the urge to be the first up the hill after Col H rather than in an office in Hohne.

Now that they are going to have the same colours with different numbers for different battalions, the history will start to be eroded. Number 1 dress and number 2(cerimonial) give no clue to who is wearing it, I saw a picture of the BW with prince Charlie ast Holyrood and the uniform made me cry, the labour government should be chased.
You're right it not clear as to who the antecedent unit is however my understanding of the golden thread it to have items of dress from each Regiment so for example the Rosettes are Black Watch, the Spats are Gordon, the Collar Dogs are Royal Scots the boxed pleats Argyles and so on. I do have an accoutrement on No 2's which identifies Black Watch volunteer only, can you pick it up?

Commonwealth Soldiers thank you very much. It was interesting the Highlanders were made the 4th Bn and A&SH 5th. There will invariably be a reduction in Battalions in the future, so it should be the 5th that "gets the chop" this will be a very interesting test which i doubt will happen within the next 10 to 15 years.
