How does the "regular" Fraser and Kirkbright Maple Leaf stack up? A Hay got the 16 ounce and the regular is listed as being a 12 ounce...I have some of the last run of Xmarks from them but can't recall what the weight of that material is supposed to be. Having just gotten the 13 ounce Robertson Hunting, I'm thinking that I'm tending toward the slightly lighter than 16 ounce material for future kilts.
Anybody have one made of the 12 ounce F&K Maple Leaf?

My experience with F&K's lighter weight tartan is that it doesn't have a kilting selvedge, which means that you'd need to put a hem in the kilt. You might want to check before you order. Having said that, hems aren't bad and don't show if done properly.
