It so nice to hear the descripiton of a wedding that is what I would want for a wedding. The waterfall, the barn reception, wonderful. I can picture the wedding and reception in my mind's eye.

    Thanks

Thanks so much for sharing your observations with us.

If there were about 200 guests, about half of them would have been men, so if 84 were in kilts, more often than not trousers aren't worn to Highland weddings.

Wonderful report Jock - you paint a very nice picture. From your description I know I can rest comfortably as it seems all is right with the world.

    Wonderful report and reassuring. Thanks.

Guessing there were no ghillies since one can't find them made in a width to fit a Scottish foot anymore.

Yes, this would be a fairly normal kilt wearing percentage at a Highland wedding(around here anyway). There were certainly Australians,English and Germans present and they were not kilted.Did it matter? Not one jot!

Oh and one more thing that I noticed-------not one tartan tie!

In the interests of accuracy, there were 86 kilts on parade!

Sounds like a classy bunch. Too bad there's no photos! I really do think people in the US get carried away, but then again Americans don't get too many opportunities to wear Highland attire as often as the Scots.
