    So I'm at a wedding...

So I'm at a wedding on Saturday and I wore my kilt with a nice mandarine collared white shirt and a classy vest (yes folks..I looked as sharp as all git out).

    Before the wedding:
I was waiting to be let into the church and I had a few comments asking if I played bagpipes (don't we all?), a few wondring if the bride was to be piped down the aisle and a few saying nice kilt.

    After the wedding:
All my friends that were there told me I looked slick and a couple of of comments from women I didn't know that I looked sexy All the guys more or less either said I looked good or they called it a skirt and tried to make fun after which their girlfriends said I looked better than they did and to watch out. Shut them up pretty quick.

    At the reception:
I kept getting looks and approvals from the ladies (at this point I didn't care what the guys thought (it was the young ones too.. the older guys were ok with it). The bride threw the bouquet (caught by a hot tall blonde) then they did the brides garter. The guy who caught it would dance with the tall blonde. I missed it and sat down at my table. My friends wife told me that when I was up there the tall blonde was telling her friends that she wished the guy in the kilt caught it so she could dance with him (me).

One of the groom's men is a good friend of mine and asked me if any of the women here caught my eye. I mentioned that the tall bridesmaid was pretty cute. He said 'Good she thinks your hot too' and then dragged me across the dance floor to introduce us.We had a few dances together and I got her number and a kiss.

As I was leaving I was chatting to the bride and she asked what I was wearing underneath. I told her to reach up and check (the groom was right there and laughing). She reached up the back of my kilt and patted a bare butt and then turned beet red.

The next day was a aprés wedding BBQ at the brides parents place. The bride was talking to her grandmother and some older aunts. I walked over, said hi, and mentioned that the bride was the only one brave enough to check out what I was wearing underneath. Her grandmother (92 years old) said out loud that she wasn't the only one wanting to check that out. heh heh

All in all a very positive wedding and weekend in general.

In reading what I just typed out it sounds kind of surreal as I usually don't get any attention at all. Must be the kilt but I like to think it's the confidence it inspires.

    Cheers Folks
    Rob

Isn't it great how wearing a kilt turns even the most mundane outing into such fun, but a wedding...that must be the best! makes me want to get married again (to the same girl).

Reading stories like this just reinforces why I enjoy kilt wearing so much. It is truly great to see the positive reactions of people and the jealousy of guys, dare I say it, not man enough to be kilted.

I loved hearing about the wedding and the events surrounding it, thanks for sharing Rob.
