New Roommate (with wings)
Some friends of a friend of my MIL needed to find a new home for their Double Yellow-Headed amazon parrot. Due to medical problems, they were no longer able to care for her. So I have a new friend.
Say hi to Babe, the DYH amzon...
She already sings several songs. I wonder what good Scottish music I can teach her?

A Priest, a Rabbi, and a parrot walk into a bar....
Bartender looks up and says, "What is this - some kind of a joke?"

Lovely bird! I have friends back in Alberta who care for a couple of parrots as well. One of them is the most entertaining little creature I've ever seen. It has a taste for the spotlight and will show off at the drop of a hat.
Hopefully Babe will be similar in nature.

Awww! What a sweetie-pie! I used to have a parrot several years ago, a lilac-crowned amazon (I moved and couldn't bring him with me, so I gave him to a good home full of other happy parrots). I sure miss that lil guy.
Babe is beautiful!

She already whistles at red-headed lasses (like my wife).
Here's a short vid of Babe singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow".
