Yeah, as a wrestler who's wearing a kilt, I'm always fighting off comparisons to Piper. He was just about my favorite wrestler up until late last year, when he screwed over a bunch of fans at my promotion, and since then he's left a bitter taste in my mouth.
No denying his talent or ability to entertain, though.

I didn't even know he was still around. I stopped watching when they stopped trying to hide it being fake.

I don't much remember him wrestling, but "They Live" is a great guilty pleasure to watch to this day!

Hey now, "fake" is such a harsh term. I prefer "predetermined." I WISH it were fake, it'd mean fewer concussions and pulled muscles.

Don't get me wrong, I know that stuff has to hurt, day in and day out.
What I refer to as the defining point that I said 'F it" to wrestling was when Yokozuma played Santa Claus and they showed it during the program. That was when I decided that they didn't care about the line and I've never been able to get the same enjoyment out of watching it that I used to.
