    No kilt for me. I get waaay to serious looking when I wear one.

    41 years of costumes, and counting.

    I'm going as a flying squirrel this year.

    Not too long ago I tried this look for Halloween. Lets me wear a kilt without making a tartan kilt into a costume. Sort of a "confused" look for a mental health agency. Fortunately, no clients were triggered by it.



    Another year I did the kilted Viking thing (yes I know about the horned helmets) which again let me be kilted and not use a tartan kilt as a costume.



    Bottom line, I don't think wearing a kilt - particularly a contemporary kilt - has to turn an honored garment into a costume. Its okay to have a little fun too.

    The only problem I see with that costume is that the shoes look like they would make you walk lopsided. That would drive me bonkers, then again, perhaps they are level...
