What was the gap between 1 and 2 though? Learning the nuances like not getting your nuts smashed by the sporan hitting the steering wheel during a turn... thats one thing I wished I had a better warning of.

how far should i "scrunch" them down?
I think they look best scrunched down to just below the calf, before the leg starts getting skinny towards the ankle. Then your legs don't look like toothpicks sticking out of your hose.

Wear your kilt as though you have worn it all your life, in other words "this is how a kilt should be worn!Don't you wear the kilt like this?" attitude.Quietly and discreetly, though, take note of what you do and don't like, there is nothing better than seeing people for real wearing the kilt for ideas.Good luck and have fun.

Your legs look fine - as does your kilt and sporran. Have fun! I'll be wearing mine outside for the first time next weekend @ the Stone Mountain Games. These knees haven't seen the sun in 20 years.
