    The original Fold was a barn cat named Susie found in Coupar, Scotland. The fold is caused by a dominant gene, but all Scottish Fold cats do not have this gene. Why that particular gene developed or when, who can say? But, as AA said, they are cute and you gotta love that! I love their little "baseball heads"!
