I know this is a post about pronunciation, but as a member of the Clan Cumming Society, I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't point out that Kingussie was once the center of clan power of the Comyns. The ruins of Ruthven Barracks now stand on the site of where Ruthven Castle was stood, the main castle of the Comyn chief. It was started by Walter Comyn, Lord of Badenoch, and completed by the Black Comyn.
Kingussie is a wonderful little town, btw. The place and people are very charming.
