    Keeping the belt rolled up inside the sporran is a very sensible idea, and will in no way damage the sporran. If using shoe trees, be sure to remove them before putting on your shoes.

    Yes... I can see how removing the shoe trees before I put on the shoes would be a good idea...

    I guess taking the shoes off my feet before putting the shoe trees in the shoes would also be a good idea.
