Argonian, as a longbowman since the 70's, I heartily applaud your desire!
In fact the only "cross words" I've had with my elder son in lo, these many years, was when he let slip that the deer he took last year (in Virginia, where he resides), was from a tree-stand, with a compound bow!
As I taught that lad all his basic woodskills, and none had involved aluminum or fiberglass or pulleys, I was indignant!
    But I'm also getting off-track, though, aren't I?
For Xmas, I would be greatly relieved, and grateful, if the Mrs. & I could score some health insurance! (Our employees have it but we don't!)

All I want for Christmas is for my friends and family to have a safe and happy holiday season. (especially my niece and nephew) After looking at my bank statement, and all the wrapped gifts in my closet, I think that might happen.
Have a great holiday X-marks members!!

And you, Sir, are indeed correct (no Phil Hartman/Ed McMahon impression intended); the discipline of the art is the greater issue.
I do applaud his desire & commitment . . I'll just keep working on his "medium choice" over the years to come!

it's been another good year for me with a cracking good wife, two smart daughters, health for all and a decent job that at the very least pays the bills. i can't in good conscience ask for anything else.

may the rest of you and your families have your health, happiness, success and perhaps a few treats under the tree this christmas and into the new year.
