I think that the "standard" jacket is too long for kilt wear. What I am planning to do is get one tailored to the "argyle style" for day wear. Everything else is as you mentioned belt, sporran and hose will have to be approved. I think that when I show up at the next Dept of NC meeting I will be received well by the Membership.

I will be ordering the last item (St Andrew blue) hose on Friday from Matt.
I have 2 belts (black and brown) and flashes (red) already.
