I'm not addicted, I'm just trying to stay ahead of all the posts.
Now if you make 10 or more posts a day and your not a Mod..... you might be an X Marks addict.

Well, I've certainly developed a tolerance and when I'm away I feel withdrawals...
My posting average is less than six times a day...so how bad can that be?
Think I'm most addicted to the shared information here that's saved me hundreds of dollars, lots of misery, and kept me from NOT looking like a fool from time to time...

Let's see....check the posts during breakfast. Then again at lunch. Check again during the evening. And if things are slow at work I'll log in a time or two. Posts, well, my average is about 2 per day but there are long stretches of none and then several in one day.
Nope, not me, I'm not addicted.

Me?
I spend 10-14 hours per day, locked inside a garage with sewing machines and cable modem access. Thank goodness for those customers and the phone. I should move the handset farther away from the laptop....

Look man, I don't watch TV. In fact, I don't even have a TV. There's a radio around here somewhere , but I don't listen to that either. I have no social life what so ever out there in the real world, but it was that way long before X Marks, and even before I got on the internet.
I'm usually reading books and looking up information for part of each day. I do all that on my computer. I have the book open in one windo, and X Marks in another, then I switch over every so often to break from reading.
I log on a few times a day to mark the forums read; I might make a few posts. If I see something interesting, I log in and post.
This summer, I stopped posting for about two months and got notices from the forum that I wasn't posting enough... I had the highest posting average on the forumm. Of course I'm addicted...
Stop laughing at me!

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

"Hello Ted Crocker, Iit appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, so why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a
solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?"
I earned that! I also converted my corduroy jacket during that time.

Must admit I've been on x-marks rather a lot since the beginning of November while I have not been working. I have plans to start retraining for a different line of work early in the New Year so my visits to x-marks will probably drop from 4 or 5 per day to 4 or 5 per week.

I also come up with my own additional rules; for example, I banned myself from posting in the Off Topic forum for a while. I also leave a few parts of my life and personality behind when I incarnate into X Marks.
Does that count for or against addiction?

Due to the high volume of posts it's necessary to log in several times a day.
Nothing to do with addiction.....
