It's amazing what you get told. My Mum is Fiercely Scottish! Gave me the whole bit and ramed her scottishness down my wife's throat (she's Ukrainian Canadian) grandparents right off the boat. Late last year I asked for some info as far back as they can go which only went to thier grandparents Her mum's dad last name Laird my mums dad Irish O'Brien and then dad let's the bomb shell drop his granddad was from Derry.
