Portsmouth, NH Burns' Night at Redhook Brewery

My dear wife is still dithering over her outfit for this evening. She's basically come down to a choice of two:

1) Long kilted skirt (with appropriately formal top)

or

2) Simple evening gown (with tartan sash)

Suggestions?
