ANZAC day Kilted?
Okay men,
Heres one for you, I am keen to attend in my Kilt, but for some reason feel a little apprehensive about doing so. Firstly I don't know how it will be recieved, and if it may upset some people...
And on the other hand, I would like to represent my family who have served the commonwealth services for flippin ages and be damned what others think...
(i.e.)
G Cunningham (Scots Reg - British Army - Indian Mutiny) (G G G Grandfather) (arrived NZ 1870)
J D Cunningham (NZ Army - Boer War) (G G Grandfather)
R G Cunningham (NZ Army - WW1) (G Grand father)
C M Cunningham (NZ Army - WW2)(Pacific Island including the Solomons)(grandfather)
J R Cunningham (NZ Police - 30 Years)(Father)
J R Cunningham (NZ Police & AOS) (NZ equiv of Swat)(Elder Brother)
P R Cunningham (Navy 10 years - East Timor, Bougainville)Peacekeeping(Marine Engineer)
As an ex service man and a member of the local RSA (Returned Services Association) I'm sure that some wouldn't have a problem with it, and others might...
For those that may not of heard of the services I have attached the following links.
And to what level of dress, formalish as in Argyll? (thats what I would probably go for.

I think the only reason that I am a little reserved, is out of respect more than anything.
So any opinions would be appreciated.
Regards
Phil C
