Hi Kiltedfirepiper,
Sorry to burst your bubble, but that helmet is a reproduction - probably only made last year. You will see the difference as soon as you get it out of the box. The modern tool-marks are plain to see on the inside. Re-read the advert - at no time does he say that it is in fact it is old - he says that it is collectible!
How do I know this? I bought the same item for my son for Christmas '07 from the same seller. I went through the dispute procedure with eBay and PayPal and in the end he won because he had not told any lies; he had only distorted the truth. Caveat Emptor - Buyer Beware! Sorry.
