Would you consider adding these to the vintage thread instead? Some of the photos you have posted here have already been posted there, those that are not over there would be most welcome as the group has always expressed interest in the Vintage Photo Thread, therefore the Vintage Thread was made a Sticky so that it would not get lost as threads like this are apt to do. Here is the Address of the Vintage Thread

Certainly. I'll try to go through all the photos and see which ones have already been posted. May take a bit to sort through them all as I'm out in the country where there is no DSL service and dial-up connections are impossibly slow.

I just went through it the photos of John Brown are there as well as some others of him, a fine looking Highlander was he. As well the Ghillies at Balmoral are there as is Douglas Hamilton. Really it is the first set that would be of the greatest interest.

I'll be glad to post those there then.

I love the photos. Thank you so much for posting them. I'm a complete fan of the older style so tae speak. If you have more, please, certainly post them.

    Thumbs up

Because the Vintage thread is photos only, and no chatting (makes it easier to get to all the photos when you're looking through all the pages, so it's a good rule), I just wanted to say here how much I appreciate folks posting these vintage photos for us. I love to look at them, so yes yes yes... thanks for adding to that thread, everyone!

I'll have to get a new memory card for my digital camera so I can post some showing the backs of the kilts and the sculpture by Montgomerie. These two are after the originals sculpted by Pierre Jules Mene in the mid 1800's.
