I had shaved a while ago, then grew back a beard, I had an interview to go to and shaved for it, afterward I was going to grow back the beard, however a second interview is looming and going in with 5:00 shadow dies not a good impression make, so I have continued to shave for now. I may grow it back soon as I feel like something is missing. This is the longest I've gone without facial hair since I was about 16

One of the strangest Walmart kilted experiences I had was at a Walmart in Leesburg during the two day Potomac Celtic Festival. It was the year that there was so much mud in the festival area that a delivery truck got stuck right in the middle of the vendors area. One of my usual shoes had actually been sucked off by the mud on the first day,so I had gone to Walmart to look for some cheap boots to wear the next day. As I was walking around looking at boots, I noticed a guy in a turbin staring at me. I looked back at him and said "Hello". He said something I didn't understand, so I answered, "it's a kilt" . He nodded and went on his way.

It seems that the most looks and laughs I get come from Wal-Mart, Last night I posted about the best day I ever had kilted. I had a car load of people laughing at "the guy in the skirt" at WM.

Grocery shopping, any department store, any store or restaurant are great places to be Kilted. Looking good Glen.

I don't think I would wear my kilt in an Indian or BBQ restaurant.

Yesterday I wore my camo Practikilt in to check on the availibility of a rebuilt jetski in a used equipment yard. There were all kinds of workmen, of all nationalities roaming around, all of whom noticed me I am sure but not one word or even a snicker was heard. One who knew I am a paraglider pilot wanted to know if I was know going to take up jetskiing and mentioned that it was "a much more relaxed sport than your usual". No mention of the kilt.
The day before I was wearing the same Practikilt in Kaymart with the wife when the ladies working in the optical section told me I was wearing a very handsome outfit.

I think most Indians and Pakistanis know the kilt from the days of the British Raj. That and the 200 kilt shops in Sialkot, just on the Pakistani side of the India/Pakistan border in Kashmir. Is that more than in Edinburgh, perhaps?
