How do you store your kilts?

When they make them with hanging loops (That's loops that are used for hanging), I use those, otherwise I just use pants hangers.

The loops are a holdover from the military and are not designed for long term hanging.

For the last 30 years my kilts have been stored on wooden hangers with notches at each end, the kilts being suspended from the hanging loops. Doesn't seem to have done them any harm

In fact my fathers kilt, which i still wear was stored this way as well, so that's more like 50 years! Admittedly it's only 13oz, so not so much stress on the loops.

The kilt that I'm wearing day to day usually gets buckled, folded in half & hung from a hook on the back of the bedroom door, wardrobe handle or whatever's available.
