Full day kilted...
And what a wonderful day it has been! I got a lot of looks of approval and some nice comments as well. I went to one esablishment to purchase some beverages and the guy who worked there walked up to me and said, "Looking for some Scottish ales today?" I replied, "Actually yes!" It was very friendly and respectful the way he said it and was a great ice breaker. We talked Scottish ales for a few minutes and then he asked me where he could get a kilt like mine so he could see if he liked wearing the kilt, I wore my SWK MacDonald standard today. I immediately informed him of where it came from and also where he could pursue a traditional kilt as well if he found it to his liking. He said he was of Cuban descent and wished they had a garment or something as immediately identifiable as the Scottish kilt and that even though he is Cuban he's going to give the kilt a go. Looks like Jerry may have a new customer!
Wish I had a picture to put with this story but my wife took the camera with her today. Perhaps I can get her to snap one when she gets back.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Sounds like a pleasant day. Always nice to be able to share your knowledge with someone who is interested in what you have to offer. So, what beverages did you come home with?
