I saw a CSM (circular sock machine) prices running from $30 to $1600. So I says to meself, Self get on X marks and ask if anyone knows anything about them CSM thingys.

If I can find one that will make nice hose maybe it can become a cave industry as I have been "de-selected"

(PC way of saying YOU'R FIRED) :crap:at work and no one has been breaking many weasels right now.

I am currently using one of these machines and am producing a very fine product. Freedom Kilts has one as well. If you do the right kind of research you should be able to find one. There is a learning curve. More than likely you will need to purchase new needles. The cheaper machines will require some overhaul, and you will have to make sure that the ribbers and cylinders are a match. Finding the right supplier of yarn at a good price is also a challenge. My parents cart and spin their own wool for the use in some of the hose that we make. Warning it still takes time to make a pair. I put in at least 200 grams of wool per pair, even at wholesale prices there isn't much margin to play around with.
